Romanian troops graduate in UAV ops, strengthening Türkiye-Romania defense ties
In a ceremony held in Kesan, Türkiye, military personnel who will operate Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for Romania’s inventory were graduated on Friday.
The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening defense ties between Türkiye and Romania according to Baykar’s founder Haluk Bayraktar.
Haluk Bayraktar, the founder of Baykarer of Baykar, a leading Turkish technology and defense industry company, congratulated the graduates from the Romanian Land Forces, emphasizing their successful completion of training and their future contributions to peace and regional stability in the Balkans and the Black Sea.
Bayraktar underlined the historical relationship between Türkiye and Romania, spanning from the Ottoman Empire era to modern diplomatic, cultural, and trade collaborations. He underlined the significance of this partnership in defense technology transfer and cooperation.
Baykar’s efforts in advancing defense industry collaborations with Romania, particularly through the supply of Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, have been recognized as a key milestone in post-Cold War defense cooperation said Bayraktar.
