President Erdogan receives Ihlas Holding Chairman Oren, discusses strategic investments

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Ihlas Holding Chairman Ahmet Mucahid Oren on Thursday at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. During the hour-long meeting, Oren briefed the president on the progress of Ihlas Media Group, which operates some of Türkiye’s most influential institutions, including Türkiye daily, TGRT, and IHA.

He also emphasized the company’s efforts to achieve global recognition with new digital brands like “Türkiye Today.”

Strategic investments and energy projects discussed

The meeting, which lasted about an hour, addressed various topics, including Ihlas Holding’s major domestic and international investments.

Oren also discussed with President Erdogan the status of a $7 billion energy project in Kyrgyzstan, a project of strategic importance for the Organization of Turkic States.

In addition to discussions on media and investments, Oren extended his best wishes to President Erdogan ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

President Erdogan, in turn, congratulated Türkiye daily on its upcoming 55th anniversary.
