President Erdogan meets with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ankara

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between Türkiye and Ukraine.

Bilateral talks and diplomatic engagement
Zelenskyy was welcomed by Erdogan at the entrance of the Presidential Complex, where the two leaders posed for photographs in front of the national flags of Türkiye and Ukraine.
The meeting, held behind closed doors, was attended by key officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Erdogan’s Chief Foreign Policy and Security Adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic.
Following their private discussions, Erdogan and Zelenskyy are expected to hold an expanded meeting with delegations from both countries during a working luncheon.
The agenda includes key areas of bilateral cooperation, security matters, and economic relations.

Potential agreements, press conference
As part of the official visit, the two leaders are set to oversee the signing of multiple agreements aimed at strengthening ties between Türkiye and Ukraine.
The meeting will conclude with a joint press conference, where both leaders will outline the key outcomes of their discussions and future collaboration efforts.
