Police nab 2 Daesh suspects with red notice in Türkiye’s Kirsehir
Police apprehended an Iraqi national, purportedly a high-ranking commander within the terrorist organization known as Daesh, along with a military accomplice in Türkiye’s Kirsehir, following an Interpol red notice.
Acting under the directives of the Republic Prosecutor’s Office, authorities conducted a precise operation leading to the capture of the suspects, one of them allegedly a senior figure within Daesh, suspected to be affiliated with the organization.
Both individuals were subjects of Interpol’s red notice for “terrorism.”
After completing the necessary procedures at the police headquarters, the suspects were promptly transferred to the courthouse for further legal proceedings.
It is alleged that these individuals had engaged in armed activities against Iraqi security forces in conflict-ridden regions.
