Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will address the Turkish Parliament’s General Assembly on Aug. 15, discussing Israel’s inhumane attacks on Palestinian territories, including Gaza.

The Parliament, currently on recess until Oct. 1, will reconvene for this extraordinary session called by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus.

The meeting aims to demonstrate Türkiye’s strong support for the Palestinian people and ensure their voice is heard globally.

Abbas will first hold a bilateral meeting with Speaker Kurtulmus before joining President Erdogan at the Parliament.

The General Assembly will be opened at 15:00 by Speaker Kurtulmus.

Following his opening remarks, President Abbas will deliver his speech, detailing the impact of Israel’s actions on Palestinian territories.

The speech will be translated into English, Turkish and French. President Erdogan will also attend the address in the General Assembly Hall.
