Nine Turkish soldiers killed, four injured while 15 terrorists neutralized
The Ministry of National Defense of Turkiye reported a clash between Turkish military forces and terrorists in the Claw-Lock Operation zone in northern Iraq, resulting in the deaths of nine soldiers and four injuries
The Ministry of National Defense of Turkiye (MSB) reported on Friday that in the Claw-Lock Operation zone in northern Iraq, a group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate a Turkish military base engaged in a clash resulting in the death of nine soldiers and the injury of four others.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry, in the Claw-Lock Operation zone, a group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate one of Turkish military bases clashed with the Turkish Military Forces. Nine Turkish soldiers lost their lives; four were injured.
It has been reported that the wounded soldiers have been transported to the hospital, and have been admitted for medical care. The critically injured soldiers later died from their injuries, taking the death toll to nine
Ministry added that 15 terrorists have been neutralized during the confrontation. Operations in the region are ongoing.
The statement concluded with condolences for the soldiers, wishing a swift recovery to the injured soldiers, and expressing sympathy to the families of the deceased soldiers as well as the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkish nation.
