New bridge and highway tolls implemented in Istanbul, Türkiye
Tolls on bridges and highways across Türkiye have been increased as of August 16, following a new tariff set by the General Directorate of Highways (KGM) and companies operating under the Build-Operate-Transfer (YID) model.
In Istanbul, the toll for crossing the Bosphorus Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet (FSM) Bridge has risen from 24 TL to 33 TL. The toll for crossing the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge has seen a sharp increase, doubling from 35 TL to 70 TL.
Further hikes have also been implemented for other major crossings. The toll for the Osmangazi Bridge, which spans the Izmit Gulf, has been raised from 399 TL to 555 TL. Meanwhile, the 1915 Canakkale Bridge, previously priced at 419 TL, now costs 585 TL to cross.
Drivers will also face higher fees on key highways. The toll for the Istanbul-Ankara Anatolian Highway now stands at 187 TL for cars, while the Istanbul-İzmir highway toll, including the Osmangazi Bridge fee, has climbed to 1370 TL for automobiles.
