Stoltenberg stressed the necessity to rapidly improve and expand industrial capabilities to increase supplies to Ukraine and replenish stocks.

He highlighted the importance of contracts for arms-producing companies in free-market economies to ramp up production, urging quicker signing of such agreements by the European industry.

Stoltenberg underlined that Western nations possess tools to surpass Russia in production and investment.

He warned that failure to increase arms production could benefit Russian President Vladimir Putin and jeopardize Europe’s security, noting Putin’s significant increase in military spending and continued missile procurement from Iran and North Korea.

Stoltenberg urged greater efforts for security, saying, “Russia has directed its entire economy toward war, so we must do more for our security.”
