Nationalist party leader Bahceli calls on PKK ringleader Ocalan to disarm and address Turkish Parliament

Chairman of the National Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahceli called on the imprisoned ringleader of the terrorist organization PKK Abdullah Ocalan to address the Turkish parliament if he calls on the terrorist group to lay down arms.

In his speech at the MHP congress, Bahceli took his previous call for Ocalan to “unilaterally declare that terrorism is over and that his organization will be liquidated” one step further, saying, “If the isolation of the terrorist leader is to be lifted, let him come and speak at the DEM Party group meeting of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

Let him shout that terrorism is completely over and that the organization has been abolished … We are ready to put up with this for the homeland, nation, state, flag, common future and full independence.”

Bahceli comments on ‘handshake’

Turkish domestic politics was shocked when Bahceli extended a handshake to Kurdish-oriented Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM) chairmen and members on Oct. 1.

Regarding the matter, Bahceli concluded, “The hand I extended to DEM has been talked about and discussed for days. The gossip stock market is breaking records … As you know, the allegations of the new settlement process have come to the fore. Türkiye does not need a new solution process, but needs and should exercise common sense, honest and sincere steps, stay closed to external impositions, and further strengthen the thousand-year-old (Turkish-Kurdish) brotherhood.

Türkiye’s problem is not the Kurds, but the separatist terrorist organization. It is imperative to solve the problem of my Kurdish brothers and sisters one by one, but it is a grave danger to refer to a solution on the basis of collective identity and ethnicity.”

Bahceli’s comments on Fetullah Gulen

Regarding Sunday’s death of FETO terrorist network leader, Fetullah Gulen, Bahceli stated, “In his passing he will answer to God, and my wish is that he will pay for his betrayal one by one and burn in hell forever. There is no land in Türkiye where this terrorist will be buried.”
