Muslim community in New York meet for iftar at Turkevi
Representatives of New York’s Muslim community gathered at Turkevi for an iftar program, joined by diplomats and officials from various countries
Representatives of the Muslim community in New York came together at an iftar program held at the Turkish House (Turkevi).
The iftar, held at Turkevi, which has become one of New York’s important diplomatic centers, was attended by representatives of the New York Police Department, as well as representatives of the Muslim and Turkish communities.
The consuls general of Bangladesh and Indonesia in New York, along with the deputy consul general of Pakistan, were also present at the iftar. Consul general of Türkiye in New York Reyhan Ozgur delivered a speech during the program.
Türkevi is located across from the United Nations building and houses Türkiye’s Permanent Mission to the U.N. along with the consulate general of Türkiye in New York.
