Migration management denies claims of over 10 million migrants in Türkiye
Migration Management has announced that recent reports claiming over 10 million migrants in Türkiye are inaccurate. In their statement, they clarified, “There are a total of 4,449,333 foreigners with legal residence rights in our country.”
In their detailed statement, Migration Management said:
The number of foreigners with legal residence rights in our country is transparently shared on our official website, and these numbers are updated regularly every week. As of today, our country hosts 3,109,867 Syrians under temporary protection, 228,290 foreigners under international protection, and 1,111,176 foreigners with residence permits, totaling 4,449,333 foreigners with legal residence rights.

Migration Management also emphasized their ongoing efforts to combat irregular migration. Their statement included the following:
Operations and inspections to identify and apprehend irregular migrants are conducted uninterruptedly and resolutely on a 24/7 basis. Coordination with law enforcement units includes inspections and operations in 63 provinces, including all major cities, using our Mobile Migration Point vehicles. Deportation procedures for identified irregular migrants are immediately initiated. All data related to the apprehension and deportation of irregular migrants are officially recorded and publicly announced.
