Massive fire erupts on yacht in Fethiye’s Karagozler Marina in Türkiye

A fire broke out on a motor yacht in the Karagozler Marina area of Türkiye’s Fethiye district on Thursday, quickly escalating and posing a serious threat to surrounding vessels and property.
Firefighting teams from Fethiye and Seydikemer initially responded but were unable to contain the flames. Additional units were dispatched from Dalaman and Ortaca to support the effort.

Arriving swiftly at the marina, emergency crews are working intensively to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby boats. Initial evaluations suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical malfunction.
Eyewitnesses stated that one of the burning yachts had recently been launched and was a relatively new vessel.
Police have increased security measures in the area, and an official investigation into the incident has been launched.
Efforts to fully contain the fire are ongoing. No official statement has been made yet regarding any casualties or injuries.
