Main opposition leads over AK Party in Türkiye: Poll
Asal Research has released results of a recent poll conducted with 2,015 respondents from 26 cities across Türkiye. The survey asked participants which political party they would support if a parliamentary election were held this coming Sunday.
The results show a narrow lead for the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) over the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), although a significant portion of voters remain undecided.
Party Name | Before Undecided Voters (%) | After Undecided Voters (%) |
---|---|---|
CHP (Republican People’s Party) | 22.7% | 32.8% |
Ak Party | 21.5% | 31.1% |
DEM Party | 6.0% | 8.7% |
Nationalist Movement Party | 5.6% | 8.1% |
Victory Party | 3.6% | 5.2% |
Good Party | 3.4% | 4.9% |
New Welfare Party | 2.4% | 3.5% |
Key Party | 1.0% | 1.4% |
Türkiye Workers’ Party | 0.9% | 1.3% |
Other | 2.1% | 3.0% |
Undecided/Will Not Vote | 30.8% | N/A |
While CHP leads with 32.8% of the vote after distributing undecided voters, the 30.8% of respondents who are still undecided signals that political preferences remain fluid.
This high percentage of undecided voters suggests that many citizens are still weighing their options.
