Vice President of the Libyan Presidential Council Abdullah al-Lafi engaged in discussions with Türkiye’s Ambassador to Libya Guven Begec on Tuesday.

The talks centered on the latest political developments and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Libya and Türkiye.

Libya’s peaceful resolution process

During the meeting, Al-Lafi expressed his gratitude for Türkiye’s continued support in advancing Libya’s peaceful resolution process. He underscored the importance of ongoing efforts to foster consensus among all political factions in the country, aiming to secure long-term stability for Libya.

Begec reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to supporting Libya’s stability, territorial integrity, and the aspirations of its people.

The Turkish ambassador emphasized Türkiye’s dedication to assisting Libya in its pursuit of a peaceful and stable future.
