Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya addressed the incident, confirming that 67 individuals involved in the unrest have been detained.
He emphasized Türkiye’s stance against xenophobia, stating: “Last night in the Baglari neighborhood of Melikgazi, Kayseri, a Syrian national named I.A. was apprehended by citizens after allegedly molesting a Syrian girl, who is his relative. He was subsequently handed over to security forces, and an immediate investigation was launched.”
