Metro Istanbul confirms stations back in operation

The official social media account of Metro Istanbul confirmed that the affected stations are now open to passengers. The statement read:

“M2 Yenikapi-Haciosman Metro Line’s Taksim Station, Sishane Station, and F1 Taksim-Kabatas Funicular Line have been reopened for operation.”

Closure decision came from authorities

The stations had been closed following a decision by the Istanbul Governor’s office. A previous announcement stated:

“In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor’s Office, the M2 Yenikapi-Haciosman Metro Line’s Taksim Station, Sishane Station, and F1 Taksim-Kabatas Funicular Line will remain closed until further notice. Our trains will continue their operations without stopping at Taksim and Sishane stations.”

With the latest update, commuters can once again use these critical transport hubs, restoring convenience to Istanbul’s busy metro network.
