Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has called for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Council of Ministers, urging a collective response to Israel’s actions in Gaza

During a meeting with Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian discussed the recent attacks on Rafah and the serious humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza. He called for an emergency meeting of the OIC Council of Ministers to respond to Israel’s actions.

Amirabdollahian condemned the attacks on the city of Rafah by Israel, which resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands, mostly women and children, emphasizing the urgency for the OIC and the international community to intervene and stop these attacks.

Pointing out that it has been four and a half months since the last meeting of the OIC Council of Ministers, Amirabdollahian called for an urgent meeting to assess the current dire situation and to take decisive measures against Israel’s recent attacks.

Taha welcomed the proposal for an emergency meeting of the OIC Council of Ministers and expressed readiness to consult with member countries to ensure the implementation of this meeting’s outcomes.
