Nazif Eken, President of the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) Antalya Branch, has announced the upcoming “International Antalya Türkiye Fly 2 Troy Festival,” scheduled for May 19.

A press conference held at the THK Antalya Branch office unveiled details of the festival, to be hosted by the branch.

During the conference, Eken outlined the festival’s comprehensive program, highlighting its international appeal. He noted that guests from six different countries, including Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, have already arrived in Türkiye with 18 planes. Eken emphasized the festival’s aim to promote Türkiye’s civil aviation sector, which boasts approximately 170,000 members, to audiences in Europe and beyond.

“Our goal is to instill a love of aviation in our youth,” Eken emphasized. He revealed that festival attendees would embark on a special route visiting Türkiye’s cultural heritage sites, starting with Çanakkale and İzmir before concluding in Antalya.

The festival itself will be held at the Antalya Karain Aviation Center on May 19th, coinciding with Youth and Sports Day celebrations. Eken expressed excitement about reintroducing THK to the public, celebrating the holiday fervently, and nurturing a passion for aviation among the youth.

Alongside thrilling acrobatic displays of jet and model aircraft, the festival will feature aircraft showcases and performances by State Opera and Ballet artists, adding color and entertainment for attendees.

Following the festival, international civil aviation enthusiasts will embark on a 16-day itinerary, exploring cultural and historical landmarks across Türkiye, including Adana, Şanliurfa Göbeklitepe, Zeugma Museum, Adıyaman Nemrut, Trabzon Sümela Monastery, Nevşehir Kapadokya, SUSHM Aviation Museum, and Istanbul.
