Greek defense minister meets American Israel Public Affairs Committee representatives
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias discusses regional security and humanitarian aid with American Israel Public Affairs Committee officials during their visit to Greece
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias held a meeting with top American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) officials on Monday as part of their visit to Greece.
The meeting included AIPAC President Michael Tuchin, Board Chair Betsy Berns Korn, the organization’s upcoming president, Dr. Bernie Kaminetsky, Vice Chair Eliot Brandt and Director of International Affairs Stephen Schneider.
Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Gen. Dimitrios Choupis, also participated in this crucial dialogue. Dendias shared in a post on the social media platform X that the meeting focused on exchanging views on the security situation in the wider region and developments in Gaza.
The minister emphasized the need for continued efforts to enhance and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid and the protection of civilian lives.
Additionally, the importance of the strategic relationship between Greece and the U.S. for security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean was highlighted.
