Former Lakers player Johnson’s home shot at in Istanbul
In a violent altercation between three individuals in Istanbul’s Kagithane district, bullets fired during the clash struck the 20th-floor apartment of American basketball player Stanley Johnson, who plays for Anadolu Efes.
The incident occurred on Oct. 10 in the Emniyet Evleri neighborhood, but fortunately, no one was injured.
Random gunfire shatters peace in Kagithane
A fight on a busy street quickly escalated into violence, resulting in random shots being fired. Two bullets struck the window of American basketball player Stanley Johnson’s residence in a high-rise complex.
The police launched an immediate investigation, reviewing nearby security camera footage.
Suspects arrested after 2-day search
Authorities identified the suspects as S.K. (18), S.K. (16), and F.O. (16). The trio, all with previous criminal records, were apprehended two days after the incident, and found with their weapons in hand.
After police questioning, S.K. and F.O. were released following the prosecutor’s instructions, while the other S.K. was released under judicial control.
