Yusuf Halacoglu, a former member of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and a founding member of the Good Party (IYI Party – IP) who later resigned, has filed an application with the Interior Ministry to establish the Kutlu Party.

Halacoglu at a press conference in front of the ministry highlighted that the party has undertaken significant work on various issues, including education, the legal system, agriculture, animal husbandry, the economy and migration.

He mentioned that their party has moved away from classifications like right, left, and center, stating, “We do not embrace any of the concepts such as right-wing, left-wing, or center that the West imposes.”

While stating that they support the parliamentary system, Halacoglu emphasized that they advocate for a two-chamber system and support constitutional amendments.

Highlighting that their party’s name does not contain an abbreviation and they have opted for the Turkish word “Kutlu” (meaning “blessed”), Halacoglu said, “With the symbol of the sun, the sun is rising again, and all darkness will fade away. We are starting a new day like Nevruz. The tree of life, a tree of life motif from Turkish carpets.”
