FM Fidan bolsters Türkiye-China ties in Beijing
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan embarked on a significant diplomatic mission as he visited Beijing, engaging in discussions aimed at strengthening Türkiye-China relations amid evolving global dynamics.
On the inaugural day of his visit, Fidan delivered a keynote address titled “Türkiye-China Relations in the Changing World Order” at the Center for China and Globalization.
During his stay, Fidan held a pivotal meeting with Chen Wenqing, a prominent member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of its Commission for Political and Legal Affairs.
This strategic dialogue underscores the depth of engagement between the two countries.
Fidan’s visit follows an invitation extended by his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, who reciprocated Türkiye’s hospitality during his visit to Ankara last July. This diplomatic exchange underscores the mutual commitment to fostering bilateral ties between Türkiye and China.
Notably, this marks Fidan’s inaugural visit to China since assuming office as the Turkish foreign minister in June of the previous year, signifying the importance both nations attribute to advancing their diplomatic relationship.
