Fire breaks out at chemical paint factory in Türkiye’s Tekirdag
A fire broke out in a factory called Goldfix, which produces chemical paint, in the Bahceagil neighborhood of the Kapakli district of Tekirdag province in Türkiye.
Flames and thick smoke quickly filled the sky, sparking panic throughout the neighborhood.
Multiple fire brigades responded swiftly and successfully brought the blaze under control.
Extent of fire, intervention efforts
The fire consumed a significant portion of the factory, with approximately 15 fire trucks responding in a concerted effort to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby areas.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and there is currently no confirmed information regarding casualties or injuries.
Support from neighborhood residents
Once the fire was under control, residents brought buttermilk to the scene to assist the firefighters, helping to alleviate the effects of the heavy smoke on the crews.
Gendarmerie and police teams also arrived, implementing extensive security measures in the area.
Cooling works
After bringing the fire largely under control, fire brigades began cooling operations.
