Erdogan, Vucic discuss stronger ties during phone call

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, according to a social media post shared by the Presidential Communications Directorate of Türkiye.

The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Türkiye and Serbia, as well as regional and global issues.

President Erdogan highlighted the growing friendship and solidarity between the two countries.

He expressed hope for the swift formation of a new government in Serbia and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability.

Erdogan also stated that Türkiye will continue to strengthen bilateral ties with the new government.

The President underlined that cooperation in areas such as the defense industry is expected to increase, with joint efforts soon bearing fruit.

Additionally, President Erdogan conveyed his sorrow over the car accident that President Vucic experienced on Feb. 8, offering his best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Serbian President Vucic also took the opportunity to wish President Erdogan a happy birthday.
