In a significant milestone for Türkiye’s healthcare infrastructure, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated the Izmir City Hospital and Link Roads at a grand opening ceremony in the nation’s third-largest city. Introducing the Emphasizing the transformative impact of these developments, President Erdogan highlighted the strides made in healthcare across the nation.
Addressing the audience, President Erdogan stated, “We have provided all our cities with the most advanced healthcare services, encompassing cutting-edge buildings, state-of-the-art equipment, and a fleet of ambulances. The Izmir City Hospital stands as one of the largest and most modern healthcare facilities, not only in Türkiye but also on the global stage.”
Underlining the commitment to surpassing international standards, the President underscored the role of city hospitals in achieving this goal. He remarked, “We have elevated our healthcare services to a level above world standards with city hospitals put into service in many places, including Izmir. This accomplishment reflects our dedication to advancing healthcare infrastructure across the nation.”
President Erdogan also shed light on the robust human resources invested in the healthcare sector, stating, “We have strengthened our human resources in this area with nearly 1.5 million healthcare workers, of which 310 thousand are doctors. This formidable workforce ensures that quality healthcare is accessible to every citizen.”
Furthermore, the President highlighted the expansion of services, noting, “We have brought service to our citizens’ doorsteps by providing 2.5 million people across the country with healthcare services at home.”
