Erdogan highlights Türkiye’s defense advancements, vows to eradicate terrorism
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Sunday highlighted Türkiye’s accomplishments in the defense industry at the “Public and Private Sector Investments Opening Ceremony” in the Türkiye’s southeastern city Bitlis.
“We have reached the point of producing our own aircraft. Yesterday, we added TCG Piri Reis to our navy’s fleet in Aksaz,” said Erdogan.
Addressing the issue of terrorism, the president said: “Türkiye has overcome the threat of terrorism. We will not allow this threat to resurface. Yesterday, in Gabar, once a stronghold of terror, oil is now being extracted.”
“We will not permit those who long for violence, oppression and tension to take us back to the dark days,” he added.
Erdogan also underscored the role of foreign powers in exploiting terrorists and those who provoke terrorism, delivering a message of unity against the threat.
“One state, one flag, one nation,” he asserted.
Concluding his speech, President Erdogan emphasized that discrimination based on religious beliefs, political views, or lifestyle would no longer be tolerated, stating: “The days of our people being marginalized are now behind us.”
