President Recep Tayyip Erdogan shared his Eid al-Fitr message, emphasizing the importance of a terror-free Türkiye and calling for decisive action against terrorist organizations.

In his message, Erdogan stated that the country expects these groups to disband without any further delays.

He began by extending heartfelt congratulations to the Turkish people for completing another month of Ramadan.

Erdogan expressed his hope that Eid al-Fitr would bring peace, prosperity, and unity, not only to Türkiye, but also to the wider Islamic world and all of humanity.

He also thanked God for granting the nation health and well-being during the blessed Ramadan period.

Global suffering during Ramadan

Despite the festive occasion, Erdogan acknowledged the sadness this Ramadan, as it was marked by suffering, massacres, and pain in various parts of the world, especially in Gaza.

The ongoing genocide in Gaza, he said, has reached a point that would break the heart of anyone with a conscience.

While Türkiye has firmly condemned these atrocities and has been providing humanitarian aid, Erdogan pointed out that the international community, particularly Western countries, has not taken effective action.

This failure has emboldened the oppressors, while the cries of the innocent continue to grow louder.

Turning to regional issues, Erdogan stated Türkiye is closely monitoring developments in Syria, which directly concern the country.

He reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to maintaining Syria’s territorial integrity and national unity while ensuring that efforts to perpetuate instability along Türkiye’s southern border are thwarted.

Erdogan assured Türkiye would not allow any such actions to succeed.

Erdogan reiterated Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to achieve a “Terror-Free Türkiye.” He stressed that the Turkish state has made a clear call for the disbandment of terrorist organizations.

He emphasized that the time for delays has passed and that the country can no longer afford to wait.

According to Erdogan, the current global, regional, and internal conditions provide the most favorable environment in years for resolving the longstanding issue of terrorism.
