Omer Celik, spokesperson for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), emphasized that early elections are not on Türkiye’s agenda, countering calls from the opposition.

‘Early elections are not on Türkiye’s agenda’

Speaking at the AK Party Seyhan District Congress in Adana, Celik stated that the opposition’s push for early elections is an attempt to resolve internal disputes.

“If an election were held today, they would face the same defeat. As we’ve said before, early elections are not on Türkiye’s agenda,” Celik maintained.
