Dual citizens residing in Edirne, Kirklareli and Tekirdag went to the polls for the Bulgarian general elections and the European Parliament (EP) elections.

In Edirne, dual citizens cast their votes at the Bulgarian Consulate General, the 75th Year Primary School, and Kesan High School. Prior to the voting process, officials verified the identity documents of the voters.

Cevat Gunes, President of the Thrace Balkan Turks Culture and Solidarity Association, expressed the community’s hopes for successful elections and encouraged citizens to voice their concerns through voting, recognizing the importance of their participation.

Expressing his hopes for successful elections for the Bulgarian Turks and inviting dual citizens to the polls, Gunes stated: “Our compatriots living in Bulgaria are very precious to us. They are our relatives, friends, and close acquaintances. If our citizens want to voice their concerns, they should go to the polls and reflect their wishes.”

Similarly, in Kirklareli, Erol Ates, President of the Kirklareli Balkan Turks Immigrants Solidarity Association, highlighted the significance of the elections in addressing the social rights of dual citizens and resolving various issues they face.

In Tekirdag, Kemal Ozturk, President of the Tekirdag Bulgarian Immigrants Association, emphasized the ongoing voting process and wished for a successful election outcome.
