Aselsan’s advanced defense systems showcased at EFES-2024

With its most advanced systems, Aselsan participates in one of Europe’s largest military defense exercises, EFES-2024.

According to a statement from Aselsan, the EFES-2024 exercise is ongoing in Izmir with the participation of friendly and allied country elements. It is where various combat scenarios are enacted, and is the largest combined joint exercise in the EFES series conducted to date.

The exercise includes representatives from the Ministry of National Defense, Land Forces Command, Naval Forces Command, Air Force Command, Gendarmerie General Command, and the Coast Guard Command, along with representatives from 48 countries.

In addition a defense industry products exhibition is being held, showcasing products produced with domestic and national capabilities by 47 defense industry companies under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries including that which is in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.

Aselsan participates in the exercise with nearly 70 systems

Aselsan is also present at the exercises with nearly 70 systems ranging from electronic warfare to communication systems, electro-optical systems, and command control equipment.

In the exercise area, domestically developed products such as the 600 Night Vision Clip-On, MILKAR-3A3 band ET system, weapon detection radar, SERHAT mortar detection radar, 81 mm mortar system, and KORKUT 35 mm weapon system are all being used.

At the exhibition area, state-of-the-art systems such as the TAKKS maneuver management system, Kocatepe communication field management system, MIDAS acoustic sensor system, IHTAR anti-drone system, Karakulak mobile HF ED model, Sancak mobile HF ED model, Puhu mobile V/UHF listening-interception model, Cetvel-300 laser distance measuring device, ASELFLIR 600 EO reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting system, and Tolun ammunition are all being showcased.

A separate stand has been set up for Aselsan’s solutions for border security at the exercise. Products developed by Aselsan with domestic capabilities such as the AURA multifunctional surveillance radar, Karakurt EO sensor system, and Sahin physical destruction system are all being introduced to domestic and foreign visitors.

Aselsan General Manager Ahmet Akyol, in a statement, emphasized that EFES-2024 is among Europe’s largest exercises and one of the most important exercises where the Turkish Armed Forces demonstrate their deterrent power to the world.

Akyol noted that 48 friendly, allied, and fraternal countries from 5 continents are participating in the exercise, stating:

Many Aselsan systems are actively operating on flying, floating, and walking platforms involved in the exercise.
