President of northern Iraq’s Kurdish region Barzani to visit Ankara for key talks
Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq, will visit Ankara on Wednesday to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In a written statement issued by the KRG Presidency, it was announced that Barzani’s official visit to Ankara will take place in the morning, where he will have a meeting with Erdogan.
The statement indicated that Barzani and President Erdogan will exchange views on strengthening relations between Türkiye, Iraq, and the KRG. They are also expected to discuss recent developments in the region and various issues of mutual interest to both parties.
