The Azerbaijani National Assembly forms an Inter-Parliamentary Relations Working Group with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, marking a historic step toward closer collaboration

In the Azerbaijani National Assembly’s regular general assembly meeting, the decision draft to establish an inter-Parliamentary relations working group with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was approved in the first vote.

Member of Parliament Cavansir Feyziyev, elected as the chairman of the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Relations Working Group, described the decision as a “historic step.”

Drawing attention to the political policies pursued by Turkic states in line with global geopolitical realities, Feyziyev said, “The integration processes among modern Turkic states have become necessary to benefit maximally from the globalization process and to secure the future of Turkish civilization, its place, and role in the world order. Laying the foundation for close cooperation at the parliamentary level between the TRNC and Azerbaijan is one of the most successful steps in the integration process of Turkic states. Being elected as the chairman of such a responsible cooperation process is a great honor for me. Together with all our colleagues, we will strive for the unity of the Turkic world and its future successes.”

This establishment of the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Relations Working Group marks a significant milestone in the growing cooperation between the two nations.

The working group aims to enhance parliamentary-level collaboration, strengthen ties, and foster mutual understanding between Azerbaijan and the TRNC.

This move reflects the continued efforts of Turkic nations to deepen their relations and promote unity in the face of shared challenges and opportunities.
