Ambassador Sen: Türkiye-Egypt ties strengthen, aid to Gaza continues
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Sen, asserts that relations between Türkiye and Egypt are improving, affirming Türkiye’s commitment to continue humanitarian aid and food assistance to Gaza in collaboration with Egypt.
As part of the “Turkish Cuisine Week,” the Turkish Embassy in Cairo hosts a Turkish breakfast event.
Ambassador Sen underscores the significant role of breakfast in Turkish culture, highlighting its rich and nutritious content as well as its healthy and delicious alternatives.
Sen points out the developing relations between Türkiye and Egypt, particularly in tourism, economy, trade, industry, sports, and culture. He also mentions various commercial, sporting, cultural, and touristic activities between the two nations.
Regarding aid to Gaza, Sen emphasizes Türkiye’s ongoing humanitarian efforts in cooperation with Egypt, stressing the vital role of Egypt in delivering aid due to security conditions at the border. He expresses hope for improved security conditions to facilitate aid delivery to Gaza.
“Türkiye, in cooperation with Egypt, will continue its humanitarian aid and food aid to Gaza,” Sen stated.
The Ambassador criticizes Israel for its actions at the Rafah Border Crossing, highlighting Türkiye and Egypt’s demand for the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Palestinian side of the crossing.
Sen anticipates an increase in high-level visits between Türkiye and Egypt in the future, emphasizing that cooperation and solidarity, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue, will be key topics during these visits.
The Turkish breakfast event organized by the Cairo Embassy is attended by guests, as well as Egyptian and Turkish journalists.
