AK Party’s executive board member walks off live TV over Kurdish message controversy

A heated debate broke out on a Turkish TV’s political discussion program after the Kurdish version of terrorist PKK ringleader Abdullah Ocalan’s message was not aired.
The discussion escalated into a dispute between Orhan Miroglu, a member of the ruling AK Party’s Central Decision and Executive Board, and former Mardin MP, and columnist Nasuhi Gungor.
Miroglu strongly criticized the decision to withhold the Kurdish-language statement, comparing it to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s treatment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Expressing his frustration, he said:
This is no different from what Trump did to Zelenskyy. Enough already! 100,000 people lost their lives for the right to speak Kurdish in this country. Nasuhi, you should know that. Why should I listen to you? I’m done with this. Thank you. Just tolerate this language—show some respect.

With these words, Miroglu walked off the live broadcast, marking a dramatic moment in the discussion.
