Modernization efforts highlighted by JAVDES

JAVDES Group General Manager Ufuk Soyluoglu praised the Turkish Gendarmerie Aviation Command’s advancements over the last decade.

He attributed these achievements to modern training methods, simulation systems, and collaboration with the defense industry.

“The Gendarmerie has showcased exceptional capability in disaster relief operations, such as earthquake response, forest fire management, and search-and-rescue efforts,” Soyluoglu said.

He also emphasized the Gendarmerie’s role in driving domestic defense projects, including the development of the Gokbey helicopter.

A strategic partnership for aviation modernization

Soyluoglu described the collaboration with Airbus as part of a broader vision to modernize the Gendarmerie’s aviation capabilities.

“We are aligning the aviation goals of industry players with the ‘Steel Wings’ vision, creating auxiliary equipment, and reinvesting revenue into the Gendarmerie’s missions. Airbus’s contributions are a key part of this vision,” he said.

Following the event, participants toured the Gendarmerie’s aviation assets, including the newly added domestically produced Gokbey helicopter.
