Türkiye struggles with severe floods after devastating forest fires
Türkiye is grappling with severe flooding following last week’s intense forest fires. The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) has evacuated 1,065 individuals stranded by heavy rainfall in several provinces.

In Nevsehir, rock fragments from fairy chimneys damaged cars amid the floods in Cappadocia, and streets were submerged.
In Kirsehir, a person died after being swept away by floodwaters. Another fatality was reported in Kayseri, where a man’s body was recovered from his car drowned in floodwater. In Kayseri, 40 individuals stranded by the floods were rescued.
An ‘orange’ weather alert has been issued for Samsun because of expected heavy rainfall. Citizens were alerted through announcements from mosques and municipalities.,
