80 students hospitalized for food poisoning at dormitory in Türkiye’s Sakarya

In Türkiye’s northwestern Sakarya province, 80 students staying in a girls’ dormitory were hospitalized after showing signs of suspected food poisoning. The incident occurred in the Hendek district, where the students had dinner before experiencing symptoms such as nausea and vomiting.
Emergency medical teams swiftly transported the affected students to the nearest hospital for treatment, and they were later discharged after receiving care.
Ongoing complaints from students
In addition to the initial cases, it has been reported that other students have visited the hospital with similar symptoms, raising concerns about a broader issue.
