55 FETO suspects arrested in ‘Kiskac-24’ operations, says Turkish Interior Minister
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 55 suspects were arrested in 21 provinces during the Kiskac-24 operations against the Gulenist Terror Group (FETO), which has been ongoing for the last four days.
According to the information shared by Yerlikaya, “Kiskac-24” operations against the FETO terrorist organization were organized in Adana, Ankara, Balikesir, Bursa, Corum, Edirne, Elazig, Gaziantep, Isparta, Istanbul, Izmir, Karabuk, Kutahya, Ordu, Manisa, Mersin, Rize, Samsun, Siirt, Tekirdag and Yalova.
These operations were organized under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Intelligence, the Fight against Smuggling and Organized Crime Directorate, and the Counterterrorism Department.
While 55 suspects were arrested in the operations that have been going on for the last four days, it was determined that the suspects were active in the so-called “Military and Police Structure” of the organization.
They communicated via pay phones and were in contact with responsible people within the organization.
