5 dead, 8 injured in massive car accident in Türkiye’s Adana

A car accident in Türkiye’s southern city of Adana claimed the lives of five family members and left eight others injured after a car and a minibus collided.

The crash occurred on the Kozan-Feke highway near Kozan Dam when a car, driven by Zeynel Gulec, collided with a minibus operated by a driver named Veysel Balta.

Emergency services, including paramedics, gendarmerie, and firefighters, were dispatched to the scene following the accident.

Authorities confirmed that Zeynel Gulec, his wife Ulku, and their children Bedirhan, Emirhan, and Dilek Gulec lost their lives in the collision.

Eight people traveling in the minibus sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
