Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 41 suspects have been apprehended during the “Kiskac-31” operation, targeting Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) terrorist organization networks across nine provinces.

The operation against FETO in Türkiye continues even after the reported death of its ringleader, Fetullah Gulen.

Minister Yerlikaya, in a statement on social media, emphasized that Türkiye’s fight against the terrorist group remains resolute. He stated, “Even after the death of the FETO leader, there is no room for any slackening in our fight against this treacherous terrorist organization.”

“We will continue our struggle until we eliminate this treacherous organization that attempted to stage a coup against our national will,” he added.

Provinces targeted in operation

The “Kiskac-31” operation was conducted in the following provinces: Ankara, Istanbul, Kayseri, Mus, Bursa, Aydin, Izmir Ordu and Tekirdag.

Allegations against FETO suspects

According to Minister Yerlikaya, the suspects face allegations of involvement in FETO’s covert military structure. Charges include:

  • Maintaining contact with high-ranking operatives within the organization.
  • Residing in “gaybubet houses” (safe houses used by FETO members to evade capture).
  • Using ByLock, the group’s encrypted messaging application.
  • Participating in activities within FETO’s military secretariat.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities gathering evidence to build comprehensive cases against the suspects.
