A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck the Nilufer district of Bursa on Monday, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) confirmed.

The quake, which occurred at 1:43 p.m. local time (10:43 a.m. GMT), was felt in nearby provinces as well.

According to AFAD’s data, the earthquake had its epicenter in Nilufer, Bursa, and occurred at a depth of 9.74 kilometers (6 miles). The Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute recorded the magnitude as 4.1.

Witnesses in Bursa and surrounding areas reported feeling the tremor, though no immediate reports of damage or injuries were available.
