33 irregular migrants detained in Antakya, Edirne following illegal entry

In Hatay’s Antakya district, 16 irregular migrants were caught after illegally entering Türkiye.
As part of the fight against human trafficking, teams from the Provincial Police Department stopped a minibus on the Antakya-Belen road, where they discovered 16 foreign nationals who had entered the country unlawfully.
M.S., suspected of facilitating their entry, was arrested. The irregular migrants were handed over to the Provincial Migration Management for deportation.
On the same day, 17 irregular migrants were captured in Edirne after illegally entering Türkiye. Security forces continued their inspections and controls across the city and detained 17 migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Egypt. After their processing, the migrants were handed over to the Provincial Migration Management.
A total of 33 irregular migrants were captured in the two operations and delivered to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
