Some 25 suspects have been apprehended in relation to the Istanbul Church Attack, facing charges of membership in a terrorist organization and qualified intentional homicide

On Friday, Turkish security forces arrested at least 25 suspects believed to be associated with the Daesh terrorist group in connection with the Santa Maria Church tragedy, which resulted in the death of a 52-year-old individual.

Two gunmen launched an attack on Santa Maria Church in Istanbul last week, resulting in the unfortunate death of Tuncer Cihan.

This incident sent shockwaves through the local community and prompted swift action by law enforcement to bring the perpetrators and their accomplices to justice.

In the aftermath of the attack, at least 25 suspects associated with the Daesh were taken into custody. The charges they face include membership in a terrorist organization and qualified intentional homicide.

Providing updates on the investigation, Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc highlighted the gravity of the charges and the government’s commitment to ensuring that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.

The incident not only claimed the life of an innocent worshipper but also posed a threat to the broader community’s sense of security and freedom to practice their faith without fear.
