210 Daesh suspects detained in counterterrorism operations across Türkiye

In a sweeping national security operation, Turkish authorities detained 210 suspected members of the Daesh terrorist group over the past two weeks.
The large-scale operations were carried out in 49 provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Friday.

The counterterrorism operations were coordinated with the Public Prosecutor’s Offices, the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), the General Directorate of Security’s Counterterrorism (TEM) Department, and the Intelligence Department.
According to Yerlikaya, operations were conducted in the following provinces: Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Antalya, Balikesir, Batman, Bingol, Bolu, Burdur, Bursa, Corum, Denizli, Diyarbakir, Duzce, Elazig, Erzincan, Erzurum, Eskisehir, Gaziantep, Gumushane, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaras, Karabuk, Kayseri, Kirikkale, Kirklareli, Kirsehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Kutahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Mugla, Nevsehir, Ordu, Osmaniye, Rize, Sakarya, Samsun, Sanliurfa, Trabzon, Van, Yalova, and Yozgat.
Suspects accused of financing and aiding Daesh’s terrorist activities
Interior Minister Yerlikaya stated that the suspects were identified as having been active within the Daesh network and allegedly provided financial support to the organization.
“In counterterrorism operations conducted by our police force across 49 provinces within the last two weeks, 210 suspects affiliated with the Daesh terrorist organization were apprehended,” Yerlikaya announced via social media.
Ongoing commitment to national security
Yerlikaya also shared footage from the operations, reinforcing Türkiye’s continued commitment to public safety.
“Unity, togetherness and solidarity against terrorism are our greatest strength,” he stated. “We continue our operations uninterruptedly to ensure the peace and security of our people.”
He extended his congratulations to the provincial governors, prosecutors, MIT, and law enforcement personnel involved in the successful operations.
