Turkish officials confirm a helicopter crashed in Türkiye’s Gaziantep, killing two pilots, with emergency teams swiftly responding to site
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced earlier Sunday that a helicopter crashed in the Nurdagi district of Türkiye’s Gaziantep, resulting in the deaths of two pilots.
Numerous health, search and rescue, Türkiye’s National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
Minister Yerlikaya expressed condolences on his X account.
He reported that the helicopter, identified with the EM 708 and registered under the General Directorate of Security Aviation Department, was on a scheduled flight from Hatay Airport to Gaziantep Airport.
