Ziraat Turkish Cup final set to take place on May 23 at Ataturk Olympic Stadium

Ziraat Turkish Cup final between Besiktas and Trabzonspor will take place following a productive meeting between the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and club presidents

Ataturk Olympic Stadium will host the Ziraat Turkish Cup final between Besiktas and Trabzonspor on May 23, Thursday.

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Mehmet Buyukeksi, Besiktas Club President Hasan Arat and Trabzonspor Club President Ertugrul Dogan made a statement to the press after their meeting at the TFF headquarters in Riva.

Affirming that they had a very productive meeting with the presidents of the two clubs, Mehmet Buyukeksi said: “As a result of this meeting, we decided to play the Ziraat Turkish Cup final at Ataturk Olympic Stadium.

We want this match to be a new beginning. Both clubs agree sports are about friendship, peace and brotherhood. We distribute 50,000 Turkish flags among spectators. We are planning a concert at 7: 00 p.m.”

“Then the teams will warm up and the match will begin. We will show the picture that Türkiye misses. I wish success to both teams in the final. We will apply the semi-automatic offside system in the final. We will also bring a foreign VAR referee,” Buyukeksi added.
