Galatasaray forward Wilfried Zaha has been excluded from the squad just hours before the club’s opening match against Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig, as the player edges closer to a return to the Premier League.

Zaha, who was a high-profile signing for Galatasaray this season, has been given permission to hold transfer talks, according to head coach Okan Buruk. “Wilfried Zaha has had recent discussions about a move. He is a player who wants to return to the Premier League. He didn’t want to risk himself, so we talked, and we decided he wouldn’t be in the squad,” Buruk told the broadcaster.

It has been revealed that Zaha is in negotiations with his former club, Crystal Palace, as he considers a move back to England. His potential return to the Premier League would mark a significant shift for the Ivorian forward, who had only recently joined the Turkish giants.

As the situation develops, Galatasaray fans and the football world are closely watching whether Zaha’s transfer back to the Premier League will materialize.
