Who is Turkish Women’s Volleyball Team’s star outside hitter Ebrar Karakurt
Ebrar Karakurt, one of the leading figures in Turkish volleyball, is known for her powerful spikes and effective blocks in the Turkish women’s volleyball team. Karakurt, who has earned praise for her international success, is a key player who enhances the team’s offensive strength.

Karakurt has played as an outside hitter and opposite hitter for the Turkish Women’s National Volleyball Team and the Russian Volleyball League team, Lokomotiv Kaliningrad.
She developed her skills with the VakifBank youth team and has previously played for clubs such as Balikesir DSI, Bursa Bahcesehir Anatolian High School, Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor, VakifBank A team, Turkish Airlines, and Igor Gorgonzola Novara.
Throughout her career, she has achieved numerous successes, including third place at the 2016 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship with VakifBank, as well as winning the 2016-17 and 2017-18 CEV Women’s Champions League titles.
With Turkish Airlines, she won two Sultanlar League championships, and with Igor Gorgonzola Novara, she earned a second place in the Italian Super Cup and the Italian Cup. At Lokomotiv Kaliningrad, she secured a second place in the 2023-24 Russian Super Cup and Russian League.
With the national team, she has won championships at the 2017 FIVB U23 Women’s World Championship, the 2023 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League, the 2023 European Women’s Volleyball Championship, and the 2023 Volleyball World Cup.
Her accolades include Best Outside Hitter at the 2017 U17 Women’s Volleyball World Championship, Best Opposite at the 2019 FIVB Women’s Nations League, Top Scorer at the 2023 Italian Women’s Volleyball League, and Most Valuable Player at the 2023-24 Russian League.
