Dundar plays as a middle blocker for the Turkish women’s national volleyball team and Fenerbahce in the Sultanlar League. She started her career at Besiktas and now serves as the captain of both the national team and Fenerbahce.
On March 30, 2022, she was elected as the chairman of the Turkish National Olympic Committee Athlete Commission. To honor her, Fenerbahce Sports Club unveiled a statue of her at the entrance of Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on March 8, 2024, International Women’s Day.
Dundar began volleyball at the Besiktas youth academy on Dec. 24, 2000, rose to the senior team in 2004, and transferred to Fenerbahce in 2008.
Recognized by the International Volleyball Federation as one of the top 100 volleyball players of 2000-2010, she was part of the Turkish national team that won the 2023 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League, the 2023 European Women’s Volleyball Championship, and the 2023 Volleyball World Cup.
She won second place in the 2003-04 Turkish League and the 2008 Women’s Volleyball Balkan Cup with Besiktas and has achieved numerous national and international successes with Fenerbahce.
Dundar has also received many individual awards, including Best Player in the 2009 Turkiye Women’s Volleyball Super Cup and Best Middle Blocker in tournaments like the 2015 European Women’s Volleyball Championship, 2016-17 Sultanlar League, 2018 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League, and 2019 European Women’s Volleyball Championship.
