Gizem Orge is recognized as a libero who strengthens the Turkish women’s volleyball team‘s defense. She is known for her quick reflexes and effective defensive moves.

Gizem Orge plays as a libero for the Turkish women’s national volleyball team and Fenerbahce. She began her volleyball career at Batikent Kultur Spor Kulubu/Ankara Eczaci Spor Kulubu, and achieved significant success with Nilufer Belediyespor and VakifBank.
During her 8 seasons at VakifBank, she won 3 FIVB Club World Championships, 2 CEV Champions League titles, 5 Turkish League titles, 3 Turkish Cups, and 3 Turkish Super Cups. Transferring to Fenerbahce in 2021, Orge achieved a Sultanlar League title and a second place in Kupa Voley in the 2022-23 season, and won both Kupa Voley and Sultanlar League titles in the 2023-24 season.
In her national team career, she has won world fourth place with the U16 Girls National Team, Youth Olympics, and Balkan Championships. She also achieved second place in the 2015 U-23 World Championship and won the 2014 European League Championship.
In 2023, she secured victories in the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League, the European Women’s Volleyball Championship, and the Volleyball World Cup with the Turkish women’s national team. Orge has won numerous “Best Libero” awards individually.
